Housing Department releases resource guide for landlords, tenants

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – As efforts to enact any type of ordinance toward tenant protections have drifted to a more educational component, the Jackson/Teton County Affordable Housing Department today published a resource guide for both lessee and lessor.

The Landlord Tenant Resources toolkit was posted today. The online tool highlights state and federal resources, includes a sample lease agreement, provides information on Wyoming Tenant-Landlord law, and directs those in need to local resources such as the Community Resource Center and Access to Justice. It’s a handy online resource for renters and landlords hoping to educate themselves about rental issues.

“Jackson has never been an easy place to live. After hearing stories from both renters and landlords, the town council felt compelled to provide educational resources to those in need,” explained Mayor Pete Muldoon.

The council is set to continue discussions related to residential rental regulations during its February 20 workshop meeting.
