JACKSON, Wyo. — Hole Food Rescue’s Sprout Mobile will be providing free lunches to school children for its sixth summer.

Since launching in 2020, the Sprout Summer Lunch program has provided more than 38,000 free lunches to kids in the valley, according to the nonprofit. This summer, between June 16 and Aug. 22, the team is aiming to distribute more than 10,000 lunches, after providing 10,680 in 2024.

This summer, kids can expect activities as well as lunch at Sprout Mobile visits. The mobile lunch provider will follow the schedule below, staying at each location for roughly 45 minutes.

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays:

10:30 a.m. Mike Yokel Park
11:30 a.m. Powderhorn Park
12:30 p.m. Cottonwood Park

Tuesdays and Thursdays:

10:30 a.m. Teton County Library
11:30 a.m. Phil Baux Park
12:30 p.m. May Park

For families that can’t make the afternoon timeframes, the Sprout Stand will provide lunches in the after-work hours, Mondays through Thursdays:

5:50 – 6:15 p.m. River Ridge Ranch
6:40 – 7:05 p.m. Karl Johnson Mobile Home Park
7:20 – 7:45 p.m. Latitude 43

“Hole Food Rescue continues to invest in this crucial program that ensures kids have access to a healthy lunch throughout the summer,” Hole Food Rescue Exec. Director Margaret Thompson said in the program announcement.
