Art students from JHHS. (TCSD#1)

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Teton County School District #1 was well represented at the Wyoming State Art Symposium with 15 art students from Jackson Hole High School making the trip to Casper on April 21-23.

The following students earned blue ribbons at the event: Anika Toland, Meghan McCreedy, Freedom Lennon, Jesse Garcia, Emma Caulkins, Ainsley Pratt, Ian Robinson, Shaeli Funk, Merrill Pomeroy, Cecilia Lopez-Sanchez, Elizabeth Chambers, Gabby St. Claire, Lucy Kirkley, Rayne Wikoff, Samantha Campbell, Lyla Kirkpatrick, Morgan Vaughn, Maria Sanchez, and Klancy Poor.

Anika Toland and Maria Sanchez were awarded the First Lady of Wyoming Art Award, and Clara Delahaye received the 3-D Congressional Ribbon. These three works of art will be on display in the governor’s mansion. Freedom Lennon was awarded a scholarship from the Wyoming Education Art Association.

More than 4,200 works of art were displayed, representing schools from across the state. The symposium is hosted by the Wyoming Secondary Art Educators Association.
