WILSON, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) announced Tuesday morning that construction on the Snake River Bridge would necessitate a brief traffic interruption at 10 a.m. for “roughly 5 to 10 minutes.”

The pause in traffic will accommodate site access for a concrete truck and loader as paving work continues on the new bridge deck, WYDOT said.

“Crews are encouraging travelers to avoid the construction area if possible, or expect delays around the morning hours and plan accordingly,” per the announcement.

WYDOT noted that traffic “could potentially see slower speeds following the closure.”

In the announcement, the agency stated that crews are aiming to finish constructing the new bridge deck by the end of June, and the addition of an epoxy overlay is likely to extend the project into July.
