WILSON, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) announced plans for a lane closure on the Snake River Bridge from 11 p.m. on Friday night, May 30, until 4 a.m. on Saturday, May 31.

The closure will allow crews to complete staining work on the bridge, which requires access to areas underneath the new span.

“Crews are now unable to work from the riverbed due to higher water levels and needed to wait for warmer temperatures to complete the work successfully,” WYDOT’s announcement reads.

Flaggers will direct single-lane traffic at reduced speeds. Drivers can expect delays of up to 10 minutes while the lane closure is in effect. WYDOT encourages caution as roadside workers and flaggers will be present in the dark.

“Delays should be minimal overnight,” WYDOT Resident Engineer Bob Hammond said.
