JACKSON, Wyo. — New snow incoming!
The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has scheduled a closure of US191/189 through Hoback Canyon (between Jackson and Pinedale, mileposts 148 to 164) for 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24, for avalanche mitigation work.
“Additional closures may be necessary depending on weather conditions,” WYDOT’s announcement states. “Reduced visibility, winter driving conditions, and increasing avalanche hazard may force an earlier closure.”
In addition, avalanche mitigation work will necessitate a closure of Teton Pass at 2 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25. Stay tuned.
