JACKSON, Wyo. — According to the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT), drivers can expect slush on US26 between the Idaho State Line and Jackson, WY22 between the Idaho State Line and Jackson and US191 between Pinedale and Jackson.
Slush is one of the top driving hazards and creates dangerous driving conditions. Slush can conceal ice and reduce a car’s ability to turn and accelerate, and cars are more likely to spin out on slushy roads.
Drivers should exercise extreme caution when making the commute this morning. Drive slower than the posted speed limit, brake and accelerate slowly and stay in a single lane unless absolutely necessary.
According to Teton Valley Weather, road conditions are likely to deteriorate during the day.
Slushy roads follow a night of two avalanches on US89 due to warming valley conditions.
