GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK — This weekend, the Chapel of the Transfiguration in Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) celebrates its 100th anniversary.
Like most summer weekends in the park, crowds are expected. GTNP posted some chapel parking guidance to an Instagram story on Friday, July 25, stating that passenger vehicle parking is allowed today, but bus, RV and trailer parking is not allowed. Buses, RVs and trailers are encouraged to drop passengers off at the chapel and then park at Windy Point or at the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center.
The chapel’s parking lot will be closed entirely on Saturday, July 26, and Sunday, July 27, with walk-in access only, according to the post.
For more information on park access, see GTNP’s Park Roads website.
