GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK — Migration season is here, according to Grand Teton National Park (GTNP).

In a Wednesday, March 19, Facebook post, GTNP warned visitors to watch for wildlife on the move as elk, pronghorn and mule deer make their way north into the Park for the summer. These animals will often cross roads, especially near river corridors and snow-covered areas.

Those also moving through GTNP should slow down, stay alert and be extra cautious at dawn and dusk when animals are most active. Drivers must obey speed limits in migration zones especially, scan roadsides for movement and never swerve, brake instead.

“Protecting wildlife starts with all of us!” GTNP writes.
