KELLY, Wyo. — Here’s a chance to hear about the celebrity mammals of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.

Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) Bear Biologist Justin Schwabedissen will discuss local bear populations at a free Teton Science Schools event on Wednesday evening. Program “On the move: How bears journey through Greater Yellowstone” will touch on the seasonal rhythms of a bear’s life, their movements throughout the region and modern research techniques for bear study. There will also be a Q&A session.

The event is part of the Murie Ranch Front Porch Out and About series, which offers free cultural programming throughout the year. Hear from Schwabedissen at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, at the Kelly Campus of Teton Science Schools (located at 1 Ditch Creek Road). Carpooling is encouraged as parking is limited. RSVP here.
