JACKSON, WY–The Grand Teton Music Festival’s 2019 Summer Season begins July 3 and runs through August 17. During the seven-week summer festival, GTMF presents over 60 events, including performances by Hilary Hahn, Norah Jones, Yefim Bronfman, Takács Quartet, Kristin Chenoweth, and Branford Marsalis. GTMF opens the season with cabaret legend Michael Feinstein, the wildly popular Patriotic Pops concert, and two gala performances of Carl Orff’s monumental Carmina Burana.

The festivities begin with cabaret sensation Michael Feinstein. Known as the “Ambassador of the Great American Songbook,” Mr. Feinstein leads his ensemble in a concert of American classics, including works by Gershwin, Sondheim, and Sinatra.

Celebrate July 4th in Walk Festival Hall with patriotic favorites such as the Armed Forces Salute, and the Star-Spangled Banner. Maestro Donald Runnicles leads the Festival Orchestra and Utah Symphony Chorus in this popular concert celebrating our nation’s independence.

GTMF celebrates the Festival Orchestra during the Gala Fundraising weekend—two nights of big performances to kick off the season! The

Festival Orchestra takes center stage in selections from Rossini’s comic masterpiece The Barber of Seville and Orff’s epic Carmina Burana. This grand spectacle features 200 musicians on stage, including a full orchestra, chorus, children’s chorus, and three soloists!
Soprano Meechot Marrero returns to the Festival after her 2018 debut as Maria in West Side Story. She is joined by tenor Sunnyboy Dladla, baritone Thomas Lehman, the Utah Symphony Chorus, and the Choristers of the Madeleine Choir School. Music Director Donald Runnicles conducts both performances.
Funds raised from the 2019 Gala support the Grand Teton Music Festival and its community initiatives, including more than 60 world-class, exhilarating performances each summer, free tickets for students to GTMF performances, and numerous free family concerts.
