TETON VILLAGE, Wyo. — Grand Teton Music Festival presents the world premiere of composer Kareem Roustom’s literary song cycle, written for renowned mezzo-soprano Kelley O’Connor with texts that are inspired by wine as a metaphor for “love, loss and remembrance.”

There are two opportunities to catch the performance, Friday, Aug. 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The incomparable Yefim Bronfman is also back in Jackson Hole to perform Brahms’ epic “symphony for solo piano and orchestra.”

Weber’s Der Freischütz Overture, Kareem Roustom’s The Clustered Vine: Songs of Love, Loss and Remembrance and Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 1 will be performed. Sir Donald Runnicles will conduct the orchestra.

A pre-concert talk will be hosted in the Barbara Furrer Goodman Memorial Garden at 6 p.m. with Caroline Gilbert (GTMF violist; Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Principal).
