JACKSON HOLE, WYO – The Wyoming Game and Fish Department trapped and relocated a sub-adult female grizzly bear May 22.
The bear was captured for frequenting residential areas and livestock calving pastures on private lands on the South Fork of the Shoshone River west of Cody. In cooperation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Grand Teton National Park, the bear was relocated to the Snake River drainage approximately 19 miles northwest of Moran in the Harem Hill area.
