MOOSE, Wyo. — Grizzly 399 has been spotted near Pilgrim Creek in Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) with one cub, becoming the oldest monitored grizzly bear in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem to give birth.

At 27 years old, Grizzly 399 is a GTNP icon. She has raised numerous litters of cubs, including the recently spotted Grizzly 610. This new cub is her eighth litter.

As of 8:49 p.m., all wildlife management units have been cleared from the Pilgrim Creek area. Buckrail will continue to update the story as more information becomes available.
