ALTA, Wyo. — As the snow melts, dreams of summer are finally starting to defrost. Grand Targhee Resort has launched a dreamy new campaign to ease us all into the summer vibe.

“Mellowstone” is all about what summer should be — not stressfully zinging between activities and fervently sweating over packing it all in. Between national park trips and epic feats of athleticism, spend a day (or three) at the ‘Ghee as a refuge from the madness.

Think: Mountain biking, day hiking, bluegrass bands, suntans, kids camps, lava lamps (ok, maybe not), swimming pool, bar stool, climbing wall, have a ball, Teton views, draft brews, family time, mountain climbs, perfect loam, room to roam, afternoon naps, bike park laps.

Yeah. That’s what summer should be.

“We wanted to create a campaign that encapsulates the ‘Targhee Vibe’ in summer,” says Targhee’s Director of Marketing Jill Gaylord. “We believe that Targhee offers a refuge from the chaotic days of summer in the Tetons. Summer vacations can be stressful for families and groups trying to find a place that offers a mix of adventure and relaxation. Our new Mellowstone campaign helps us showcase the resort’s perfect blend of exciting activities and laid-back family fun. We believe that a summer vacation to Targhee is exactly what summer should be.”

Vacations can be hectic, but they don’t have to be. Why not enjoy a calmer pace, Teton Valley style?

Targhee invites locals to check out its 75 miles of hiking and biking trails, one of the only pools in the valley, guided horseback trips, a kids’ activity zone and more, all within a stone’s throw of the area’s other attractions.
