ALTA, Wyo. — Grand Targhee Resort is excited to welcome music lovers from across the country to the 34th annual Grand Targhee Bluegrass Festival. This year has another amazing lineup featuring the world’s top bluegrass acts, including Railroad Earth, Molly Tuttle, Leftover Salmon, the Wood Brothers, Trampled By Turtles and more.
The festival takes place August 9-11. There are still limited ticket and camping options available, so don’t forget to purchase before it’s too late! Prices increase for day-of ticket sales, so it’s best to purchase ahead of time.
What’s new this year
- New grass. Grand Targhee recently graded the venue area and laid some fresh sod. This will make for a more comfortable viewing experience for guests to lay out and relax.
- Updated venue layout. The venue has been slightly redesigned with a “food court” area and upgraded amenities that will help provide even more space for fans.
Key information
- There is no onsite parking without a camping or parking pass. Please take the shuttle from the High School in Driggs.
- For those camping in the meadow, everyone in the party needs to have purchased a camping pass.
- Many vendors (including merch and day-of camping sales) will be card-only.
- Prices go up the day of the event. Be sure to purchase tickets and lodging/camping ahead of time.
- No outside food or drink is permitted in the venue. Please leave coolers at home or at camp. There will be food, beverages and water bottle fill stations inside the venue.
- No parking along Ski Hill Road. Strictly enforced by Teton County Sheriff’s Department.

Camping and parking
- Every camper needs to have a camping pass!
- Meadow Camping is sold by the person. For those who purchased a Meadow camping space with a car, that pass is good for the driver and their vehicle. Anyone in the party who will be sharing the camping area needs to have purchased their own camping spot. Please ask guests to purchase a camping pass without a car if they have not done so already.
- Guests will be able to purchase meadow camping passes without car on the day of the event at an increased price. Day-of purchases will be card only.
- Walk-In Tent Camping is sold by the spot and includes up to four people.
- Larger RV and Trailer Parking Lot Spots is sold by the spot and includes up to six people.
- When to arrive:
- All camping areas open up Thursday, Aug. 8 at noon.
- Parking Lot campers and large trailers and vehicles longer than 16 feet will be prioritized to speed up the flow of traffic.
- Please follow signs to queue up vehicles in lot 4 (see camping map for location details)
- Three-Day Festival Parking opens on Friday, Aug. 9 at 8 a.m.
Shuttle
- Guests who do not have a parking pass (or a camping pass that includes a vehicle) will need to take the shuttle the venue. There will be no onsite parking without a parking pass.
- The shuttle for bluegrass will run each day from Teton High School in Driggs: 555 E Ross Ave.
- Shuttle service will begin at different times each day, but will loop all day long to ensure quick, efficient service up and down from the venue.
- Friday
- 2 p.m.: Shuttle service begins from Teton High School
- Late Night at the Trap: A shuttle will leave from the resort at 12:30 a.m., 1:25 a.m. and 2:20 a.m.
- Saturday
- 11 a.m.: Shuttle service begins from Teton High School
- Late Night at the Trap: A shuttle will leave from the resort at 12:30 a.m., 1:25 a.m. and 2:20 a.m.
- Sunday
- 10:30 a.m.: Shuttle service begins from Teton High School
- 8 p.m.: Last shuttles down from Grand Targhee Resort
