JACKSON, Wyo. — Gin & Juice is back, but this time at the Virginian.

The crowd-pleasing collaboration that first brought hip-hop music to Teton Village is back for another round on March 18 at the Virginian Saloon. Los Angeles-based emcee J. Writing is set to team up with local musicians for another installment of Jackson’s most unique music event of the winter.

The event was first ideated by a collection of Jackson locals whose love of 90’s hip-hop music inspired them to blend talented local musicians with J. Writing’s unique flow. Bassist Leif Routman, MC Taylor Upton, guitarist Dusty Nichols, multi-instrumentalist Joe Rudd and drummer John Wayne have combined once again to bring speaker-thumping instrumentals and a smooth hip-hop vibe to some of the old-school era’s most prominent jams.

Gin & Juice brings a collection of songs listeners can’t find anywhere else. This one-of-a-kind collaboration covers everything from Biggy Smalls to Anderson Paak; from Ice Cube to Eminem. After nearly five years of collaboration together, the G&J collective is poised to bring back some old staples, as well as some new songs and artists from across the hip-hop spectrum.

“We’re so excited to be bringing Gin & Juice Volume VI to life this Spring,” says bass player Leif Routman. “This evening will feature a seven-piece live band including two MC’s and will return powerhouse vocalist Melissa Elliot for another round. New material, both classic and contemporary, will get the juices flowing and the crowd pumping. Don’t miss this one as it’s sure to be the best yet!”

Tickets for the 21+ event started at $35 and increase in March, week off, and day of. The event has sold out in years past, so be sure to get them before the next increase March 13th.
