Get Off Old Faithful Now, Trespasser In Yellowstone National Park

Old Faithful trespasser Gabriel Villalva in hot water, charged with 4 counts

Yellowstone National Park- A video has recently surfaced on social media of a man blatantly disrespecting Old Faithful Geyser, disregarding his own personal safety and the direction of a park service employee.

“This is the park service! Get on the boardwalk! Get off Old Faithful!”, can clearly be heard as the man in the video continues to disgrace this national treasure and actually steps into a depression within the geyser. A bystander also says in the video, “He’s peeing. I don’t even know what to say.” ( 14 seconds )

Old Faithful is located in Yellowstone’s Upper Geyser Basin in the southwest section of the park. The viewing area for the geyser is the most accessible and visitor-friendly in the park with bench seating and a large parking lot. There is a ranger station that tracks the time, height and length of an eruption to predict the next one.

This has been a long summer for poor behavior with park visitors. Between this incident and Raymond Reinke’s Bison Hazing back in august.

This is a developing story and Buckrail is in communication with the National Park Service in regards to this incident. We will keep you posted as we know more.

Please respect our parks, we can do better than this.
