UPDATE: The Garaman Pathway will remain closed through Friday, June 28, according to an update by the Town of Jackson on Thursday, June 27. The Town will provide further updates to the repair schedule.

JACKSON, Wyo. — Heads up, pathway users. Friends of Pathways has shared that the Garaman Pathway will be closed for repairs beginning around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26.

Crews will be addressing issues with the Wort Ditch irrigation pipe, which failed earlier this month. This pipe diverts water from Flat Creek through Garaman Park and along the pathway to Northern South Park for irrigation.

The closure is expected to last through Wednesday and might extend into Thursday, “or longer, depending on how long the work takes,” Friends of Pathways said via Facebook. While the pathway is closed, cyclists and pedestrians are encouraged to use a detour along South US89, Meadowlark Lane and Powderhorn Lane. The detour will be marked by signs.
