LANDER, Wyo. — Wyoming Game & Fish is looking for information on a poached elk left to waste in Elk Hunt Area 28 over the weekend.
The elk was found in Rock Creed reservoir. Its head and antlers had been removed but all edible portions were left to waste.
Lander Game Warden Brady Frude is asking anyone with information to report it to Game & Fish. Tippers can report online, in a text message to TIP411 (use keyword WGFD), by calling the Stop Poaching Hotline at 877-WGFD-TIP (877-943-3847), or by calling Frude directly at 307-332-2704. Reporters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward up to $5,000 of the information leads to a conviction.
