JACKSON, Wyo. — The Wyoming Game and Fish Department (WGFD) has scheduled a public meeting in Jackson on Tuesday, May 26, to collect public input and answer questions about proposed regulation changes.
The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. at the WGFD Jackson Regional Office at 420 N. Cache Street. There are six regulation chapters that are facing proposed changes, and the public comment periods are open until midway through June.
Proposed regulation changes deal with hunting permits for people with disabilities (Chapter 35); issuance of licenses, permits, stamps, and more (Chapter 44); gray wolf mortality limits (Chapter 47); private fish hatcheries (Chapter 51); license suspension procedures (Chapter 54); and aquatic invasive species (Chapter 62).
The public comment period for Chapters 35, 47, 51, 54, and 62 will remain open until 5 p.m. on June 10. The public comment period for Chapter 44 will be open until 5 p.m. on June 18. Learn more about the proposed changes to each chapter here.
