Mark Gordon is a rancher, small businessman and currently serves as Wyoming’s State Treasurer. He’s a lifelong conservative, a staunch defender of Second Amendment Rights and an advocate for smaller government closest to the people. He served on the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City as a champion for small business, energy, and agriculture. He has a broad range of experience in the fields and industries that are important to our state – from agriculture to energy to tourism.
As Treasurer, Mark grew the state’s portfolio by $5 billion. He overhauled and modernized the State Treasurer’s office, ultimately positioning Wyoming to benefit further from investment income in the years to come. His efforts to improve transparency surrounding the state’s financial portfolio resulted in Wyoming being ranked number one in the United States for transparency and third in the world among all sovereign funds.
As Governor, Mark will get government out of the way for Wyoming people to prosper. His platform for prosperity begins with keeping government minimal, accountable locally and living within its means; fostering innovation and encouraging strategic growth and development from the ground up; and providing exceptional educational opportunities for our kids and continuing education everyone needs to succeed and lead in the transforming workplace of the future.
