JACKSON, Wyo. — Hole Food Rescue’s summer lunch program is back for a seventh summer, providing free lunches to local kids when school is out of session.

The Sprout program resumes on June 15 and will run through Aug. 28, aiming to serve up 10,000 free lunches. The nonprofit is anticipating that it will surpass its 50,000th free lunch distributed since the program began in 2020.

“What started as a response to the summer meal gap has grown into a program families count on each summer,” said Margaret Thompson, HFR’s Executive Director. “As Sprout surpasses 50,000 lunches shared with our community, we’re reminded how important consistent access to nourishing food is for children and families.”
