DRIGGS, Idaho — The nonprofit Downtown Driggs Association’s free 13th Annual Driggs Snowscapes: The Art of Sculpting Snow is taking place from Jan. 20 to 25.

All events will take place at the Driggs Plaza, 60 South Main Street, in downtown Driggs, Idaho. 

Sculpting Days

From Jan. 20 to 24, seven professional sculpting teams from Idaho, Wyoming and Montana create an art installation made entirely of snow. Viewers are invited to make a day or night of it to watch the artists at work. 

Snowscapes Community Block Party

The Block Party will take place on Saturday, Jan. 25, from 10 a.m. 4 p.m. The day includes:

  • 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.: People’s and Kid’s Choice Voting for favorite sculptures
  • 1 to 2:30 p.m.: Quick Sculpt event where five artists only have one and a half hours to carve a four foot tall block of snow without the use of power tools
  • 3 p.m.: Snowscapes Competition Awards Ceremony
  • All day: Teton 6 Artisans at The Teton Geo Center, free hot drinks and treats from sponsor booths and a giant snow slide for kids

No tickets are required for the free events.
