JACKSON, Wyo. — The National Museum of Wildlife Art (NMWA) is hosting a free community opening event for the new exhibition “Survival of the Fittest: Envisioning Wildlife and Wilderness with the Big Four” on June 2.

The exhibition presents masterworks from the Rijksmuseum Twenthe and the NMWA.

The event will also include a taste of Germany in June with food and drink, celebrating the three German artists, and one Swede, featured in the exhibition. There will be live polka music from The Hof Band.

The first 100 attendees will receive a free NMWA logo stein, and Roadhouse beers and mini-brats from Bovine and Swine will be available for the first 300 guests. Non-alcoholic seltzers will also be available.

There will also be a scavenger hunt in the galleries, both a kid-friendly version and a more advanced adult version.

The event will take place at the NMWA, 2820 Rungius Rd in Jackson, Wyoming, from 5 to 7 p.m.
