JACKSON, Wyo. — On Saturday, Dec. 28, the Chabad Jewish Center of Wyoming will host the Town Square Menorah Lighting and Gelt Drop in Jackson Hole to celebrate Chanukah (also spelled Hanukkah).
This year, Chanukah occurs from the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 25 through Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025.
The event will start at 7:30 p.m. and is open to the entire community.
Attendees will have the chance to catch Chanukah Gelt, or chocolate coins, raining down from the top of a fire truck ladder. There will be a giant Menorah lighting, Chanukah songs and the chance to hear the story of Chanukah.
Hot potato latkes, doughnuts filled with jelly (Sufganiyot) and hot chocolate will be served. Chanukah Menorahs will be available for everyone.
