President Trump this morning endorsed Foster Friess for Wyoming Governor.

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – On the day of the fray that is the Primary Election, GOP gubernatorial candidates are making their last bid attempts to get the vote out. The latest polls show a virtual dead heat between Mark Gordon and Foster Friess.

Gordon in reaction has enlisted the aid of former US Senator from Wyoming Al Simpson, who weighed in on behalf of the candidate in order to wrist-slap his opponents and back Gordon.

Trump endoresment on Twitter.

In keeping with the endorsement string already employed judiciously this campaign, Friess countered today with a thumbs up from POTUS. The Trump endorsement was made via the President’s preferred media, Twitter, stating: “To the incredible people of the Great State of Wyoming: Go VOTE TODAY for Foster Friess – He wil be a fantastic Governor! Strong on Crime, Borders & 2ndAmendment. Loves our Military & our Vets. He has my complete and total Endorsement!”

The vote of confidence from the commander-in-chief might play well outside of Teton County, where Friess is from, and help the candidate win broad-based support from the rest of a deep red state.

Friess, in turn, replied, “I’m honored to have the full support of President Trump. A President who’s ended the war on coal. A President who’s fighting to put America first. A President who’s not afraid to fight for our values. I’m asking all conservatives to join our team and go vote today!”
