DUBOIS, Wyo. — As the Fish Creek Fire continues to burn across thousands of acres, the public has the opportunity to hear from professionals about the situation.
Representatives from the Bridger-Teton and Shoshone National Forests, the Fire Incident Management Team and other local collaborators will provide an update on the Fish Creek Fire and take questions from the public at a meeting on Monday, Aug. 26, from 6 to 7 p.m.
The public is invited to attend in person at the National Museum of Military Vehicles’ Poolaw Building in Dubois, WY, off of US26. Virtual attendance is also encouraged. Bridger-Teton National Forest (BTNF) will host the virtual meeting via Facebook Live. Expect to hear an overview of the status of the fire, learn about fire suppression efforts and hear about the associated closure area.
“Our goal is to align incident objectives with planned actions for the upcoming days,” BTNF said via Facebook. For more information and to attend the meeting Monday night, see BTNF’s Facebook page.
