WILSON, Wyo. — It’s all happening!
The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) closed the Fish Creek Bridge portion of WY22 through downtown Wilson this morning. The detour around the bridge repair project is expected to be in place for up to 10 days while work is underway, depending on weather.
“Crews will be working daylight hours through the duration of the closure and detour,” WYDOT posted to Facebook around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. “WYDOT is reminding drivers to be cautious of roadside workers and obey all roadside signs, flaggers and traffic control devices.”
While the detour is in place, Teton County is enforcing vehicle restrictions in the area, including a 60,000-pound gross vehicle weight limit and guidelines about certain commercial vehicles. Wilson Elementary School students must be picked up and dropped off in a designated spot near the school’s rear entrance for safety purposes.

Work is scheduled to be complete by Nov. 15, weather permitting. WYDOT is planning to fully replace the structure in the coming years.
