JACKSON, Wyo. — It’s been a hot, busy summer.
Jackson Hole Fire/EMS announced Tuesday that it responded to a record number of calls in July. The team answered 321 calls for service last month, marking the highest call volume in its records. This July broke the department’s previous record of 289 calls, set in July 2021.
“There were no specific trends in call types,” the agency’s announcement states.
The team responded to eight fires, 19 hazardous situations, 185 medical calls, 59 false alarms/non-emergencies, 42 public service calls, seven canceled calls and one rescue call.
So far this year, Fire/EMS has answered 1,386 calls, “nearing the historic levels of 2021, when by the end of July the yearly call volume had reached 1,395 calls,” the announcement says. “Historically, July and August are the highest volume months.”
