Wyoming Highway Patrol confirmed a 79-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle accident Sunday morning East of Moran.

The driver was heading east on Highway 26 and drifted off the road. He struck several small trees before pivoting. The front of his car struck a pine tree.

The man was a South Dakota resident, likely on vacation and traveling alone. An oxygen tank and several prescription bottles in his car suggest the accident may have been due to a medical condition. Highway Patrol is still investigating cause of death
