JACKSON, Wyo. — Fall is on its way in Jackson Hole and with it comes dropping temperatures, changing leaves and a number of community events.

Jackson Hole One Fly Sept. 9 – Sept. 12

The annual fishing tournament aims to raise money to benefit conservation and education surrounding Fine-spotted and Yellowstone Cutthroat trout in the Snake River drainage and headwaters in Yellowstone.

Fall Arts Festival Thursday, Sept. 9 – Sept. 19

Palates & Palettes on Sept. 10 is the kickoff to the festival. Participating galleries pair with local restaurants and beverage makers to serve food and drink as you browse the art.

Takin’ it to the Streets on Center for The Arts Lawn will be held on Sept. 12. The juried fair features 50+ local creatives and includes some of Jackson’s finest artists, selling artwork in an array of mediums. Due to Covid-19, Taste of the Tetons has been canceled on Sept. 12.

On Saturday, Sept. 18, the Jackson Hole Quickdraw will be held on Town Square. World-famous artists create paintings and sculptures live, immediately followed by a fine art auction.

LoToJa bike race Saturday, Sept. 11

This amateur bike race begins in Logan, Utah, and finishes 200+ miles later in Teton Village, Wyoming.

Old Bill’s Scavenger Hunt Saturday, Sept. 11

Instead of the classic Fun Run,  The Community Foundation has organized an Old Bill’s Scavenger Hunt throughout downtown Jackson. The Foundation encourages teams of co-workers, family, or friends to register to participate. Race for the answers to win a grant for your nonprofit. $5,000 in grants will be awarded.

21st Annual Run and Ride for the Cure Raffle Sept. 11 – Sept. 20

Due to the high transmission rate of COVID-19 in the community, the in-person race day event usually held on Sept. 19 is canceled.

St. John’s Health Foundation, Skinny Skis, and several local businesses have organized a raffle benefitting the Cancer Patient Support Fund. The Run and Ride Raffle will take place September 11-20. There are 20+ prizes valued at over $3,000.

From September 16-19, Skinny Skis will be donating 10% of the store’s proceeds to the St. Johns Health Foundation.

Jackson Hole Marathon Sept. 25

Begining near Jackson’s Town Square and ending in Teton Village, the marathon is hosted by the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce and the Jackson Hole Racing Company. The race offers three distances for runners, a marathon, half-marathon, or quarter marathon. The event application will be presented to the Jackson Town Council for approval this evening, Sept. 7.

Farm to Fork Festival Oct. 1 – Oct. 3

Slow Foods in the Tetons is planning to host the Farm to Fork Festival on The Center Lawn. The three-day event features local food, workshops and the final People’s Market of the summer season. The event application will be presented to the Jackson Town Council for approval this evening, Sept. 7.

Headwaters District Boy Scouts of America Elk Antler Auction Oct. 2

Historically held the Saturday before Memorial Day weekend, the Elk Antler Auction was postponed until the fall due to COVID-19 concerns. The event is currently a live auction on the northeast corner of Town Square on Center Street.
