MOOSE, Wyo. — Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) strives to accommodate visitors with differing abilities and provides accessibility to programs, visitor centers, concession facilities, campgrounds and trails within the park.

Ranger-led programs

Many summer and fall programs are wheelchair accessible. Check the current offered programs here.

Visitor Centers

Craig Thomas and Discovery and Visitor Center (Moose)

  • Nine accessible parking spaces four of which are van accessible
  • Front door operates on a push-button opener
  • Each set of restrooms has wheelchair accessible stalls, sinks and hand dryers
  • Water fountains and a water filling station (for own water bottle) are wheelchair accessible
  • Wheelchair available to borrow

Jenny Lake Visitor Center

  • Accessible parking spaces available in both parking lots
  • Water fountain on the front of the adjacent Jenny Lake store is wheelchair accessible
  • Wheelchair available to borrow

Colter Bay Visitor Center

  • Four accessible parking spaces in front of the visitor center
  • Front door operates on a push-button opener
  • A family restroom outside the visitor center is wheelchair accessible
  • Water fountains are wheelchair accessible
  • Wheelchair available to borrow

Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve Center

  • Three accessible parking spaces are available
  • Front door operates on a push-button opener
  • Composting toilets are wheelchair accessible
  • Water fountains are wheelchair accessible

Flagg Ranch Information Center

  • Accessible parking spaces are available in front of the Information Station
  • One restroom inside center is wheelchair accessible

Campgrounds

Gros Ventre Campground

  • There are 10 ADA-accessible sites with electric hookups, and the adjacent restroom is ADA compliant. The campground registration office is not wheelchair accessible, but several restrooms are.

Jenny Lake Campground

  • Three campsites are now ADA compliant and restrooms are accessible.

Colter Bay Campground

  • The campground has 13 ADA-accessible sites with electric hookups, and four sites at the RV park have been widened to accommodate wheelchairs.

Headwaters Campground at Flagg Ranch

  • Most sites are accessible to wheelchairs with accessible restroom facilities. One fully accessible shower is available.

Trails

GTNP allows any type of assistive technology on trails. Suggested trails for those with physical/mobility challenges include the multi-use pathway, South Jenny Lake and String Lake trails, Jackson Lake Dam and Colter Bay.

Concession Facilities

  • Colter Bay Village cabins have two accessible units.
  • Jackson Lake Lodge features 20 accessible guest rooms, four with roll-in showers.
  • Jenny Lake Lodge has two accessible guest rooms without roll-in showers.
  • Headwaters Lodge at Flagg Ranch has one fully accessible room with a roll-in showers and four accessible rooms without roll-in showers.

Last summer, GTNP also partnered with Teton Adaptive to make park trails more accessible to individuals with mobility disabilities.
