JACKSON, Wyo. — This weekend brings the second Saturday of May, which means it is time to celebrate spring in the Valley with a morning of volunteer Spring Cleanup and the Energy Conservation Works EcoFair! This annual environmental stewardship and sustainability celebration calls on community members to care for this special valley through simple and sustainable living.

Join Energy Conservation Works at the Center for the Arts Lawn on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. This year, dozens of incredible sustainability-minded organizations and businesses will be providing food, drinks and activities.

Here are a few reminders and things to look forward to at EcoFair this weekend:

  • Local food provided by Spoons and Rosas Tamales.
  • Tons of family-friendly activities!
  • BYO cup/mug or use a stainless cup from the JH Zero Waste Project at EcoFair – absolutely no disposable cups or single-use plastics of any kind!
  • Walking, riding a bike or taking public transportation is in the spirit of the event! Take advantage of VIP bike parking and bike safety checks from Hoback Sports and REI.
  • A suggested donation of $5 helps support the costs of production.
  • Register here to be a part of the green team and get food, a free cup and bragging rights!
  • Snake River Brewing is offering a free beer for existing and new Green Power customers, event volunteers and folks who purchase a Zero Waste cup.
  • Please leave your dogs at home, they are not allowed on the Center Lawn.
  • Live music by Campfire Cooks!

Find inspiration for those summer projects at EcoFair this year.

Got a home improvement project in mind, but not sure where to start? Maybe the plan is to plant pollinator-friendly plants in the garden, compost food waste or get involved in a unique project like community solar. Come visit Energy Conservation Works and the other amazing sponsors of EcoFair!
