JACKSON, Wyo. — Starting on Monday, the Town of Jackson (TOJ) will begin installing stormwater infrastructure at select sites on East Broadway.
The two phases of construction will require excavation, which will lead to intermittent road closures and detours. TOJ said in a press release that the first stage will take place from Willow Street to Gros Ventre Street from Sept. 14 through early October, and the second stage will occur from Gros Ventre Street to Redmond Street through the end of October.
“Stormwater inlets prevent flooding, protect infrastructure, and keep roads safe,” TOJ stated. “They act as entry points for rainwater and snowmelt to leave the surface of roads and enter the Town’s underground drainage network.”
Detour signs will be in place around construction zones. All residential and commercial traffic on Broadway within closures zones should anticipate delays. The TOJ Engineering Department plans to share regular updates and notifications as the project progresses. All dates are estimates and subject to changes in weather.
