Dynamic duo sets up ’cause for PAWS’ popup at Broulims

TETON VALLEY, IDA – Two Teton Middle Schoolers will be hawking hardware this afternoon and here’s why you should make a point to stop by and buy.

It’s always a win-win when you can make a savvy purchase AND support a good cause. Two compassionate 6th graders—Eliza and Josie—are ready to help you out with that. They’ll be selling Liquid Hardware water bottles and coffee mugs in front of Broulim’s Grocery store today, and again on May 6, from 3:30-5:30pm.

Eliza and Josie were challenged by their English teacher, Mrs. Marlar, to “think of a problem in the world and put a plan into action to help fight against it.” It’s all part of the #CombatTheSilence, “Guts Factor” program that has become so popular.

Josie and Eliza decided to research and raise awareness about domestic animal cruelty. They won’t stand for any pet being abused and they are willing to put themselves out there to fight for the rights of animals.

The girls decided one thing they could do would be to help raise money for PAWS of Jackson Hole’s Education/Outreach Program. So, with your purchase of a water bottle or coffee mug, 100% of the proceeds will go to PAWS.

Proud moms Mary and Stephanie are likely going to be these girls’ first customers but they encourage everyone else in the community to please come out in support of animals, PAWS, and some pretty ‘gutsy’ outreach by these kind 6th graders.
