Driver life-flighted after crash near Bondurant this morning

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Hoback Canyon was pure ice this morning and one commuter is battling for her life today after a serious accident.

At approximately 8:44am, Sublette County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident at mile marker 134 on Highway 189/191 near Bondurant. The accident involved a small passenger car and a semi truck.

Sublette County Sheriff’s Deputies, Sublette County EMS, Sublette County Unified fire and Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers responded to the scene. Traffic was shut down temporarily until the scene could be cleared.

The driver of the car is a 54-year-old female who had sustained serious injuries, and was subsequently transported to Idaho via Life Flight for treatment from the scene. The semi driver did not sustain any serious injuries and was released by medical staff on scene.

Wyoming Highway Patrol has taken over the investigation of the crash.

Buckrail is working on identifying the injured woman.
