DRIGGS, Idaho — Got a green thumb?

The City of Driggs’ Trees and Beautification Committee will host a tree planting party on Friday in Lion’s Park. Serving as a delayed Arbor Day celebration (the holiday was observed April 24 elsewhere), the event will include tree planting, a bench painting activity for kids, a structural pruning demonstration, a noxious weed identification lesson and a message from Driggs Mayor August Christensen.

“Do you enjoy our street trees lining Little Ave., and our shade trees in our parks?” the event flyer reads. “Join us for a planting at Lion’s Park; beautifying the future!”

Head over to Lion’s Park (on Second Street and Fremont Ave.) at 4:30 p.m. on Friday to participate.
