JACKSON, Wyo. — Snake River Brewing (SRB) is hosting the premiere of Home Away From Home, starring a group of local skiers and snowboarders, Saturday, Sept. 23 at the Brew Pub.

The film stars Max Martin, along with Cam Fitzpatrick, Corey Jackson, Marie France Lessor, Teton Brown, Veronica Paulseon and Tami Razinger. The film was shot in Golden, British Columbia, and in Jackson.

“I’m so excited to be presenting this film to our community,” Martin said. “We focused on the more wholesome sides of skiing and the communities that are created through it. We hope that it shows that skiing goes beyond being a sport and that it can be a common denominator to bring us all closer together.”

The film starts at 8 p.m. and was produced, directed and edited by Morgan Shields along with co-producer, director and cinematographer, Matt Fournaris.

“It’s definitely exciting to get to work with industry-leading ski brands, creatives, athletes and musical artists but perhaps more exciting to get to work with your friends,” Shields said. “This winter I prioritized creating a project with Max not only because he is a talented skier but more importantly a positive, humble and good person and I think that’s important for skiing and also our community. I really hope you’re able to check out our film and I hope you dig it!”

Following the film, stick around for the raffles, including new skis and bindings, custom Give’r gloves and more. Following the film, stick around for a DJ set by Richiebeats.

All the proceeds form the raffle ticket sales will go to Carving the Future, a local nonprofit working to break down the barriers of cost for families, to give local kids the opportunity to snowboard and skateboard.

“I’ve learned so much from having a life in the mountains and being around my peers who have loved these sports, those experiences have truly shaped me into who I am today,” Martin said. “We are grateful for the positive message they [Carving the Future] put out and we hope to give them a good boost to help the next generation.”
