JACKSON, Wyo. — Everybody loves fall and its leaves — until it’s time to clean up.

But it’s part of the ritual. Don’t miss fall cleanup Friday, Nov. 6 at the rodeo grounds.

If you haven’t already, pick up composting bags at the recycling center, Town Hall, or Public Works. Then fill them with yard waste and drop them off at the rodeo grounds from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m Friday.

Individuals dropping off yard waste will be asked to empty their own bags. Sorry, no plastic garbage bags, trash, or dog poop — it’ll be sent home with you. Limbs and branches can be brought bagless. Yard waste will be locally composted, not buried in a landfill.

Please note that due to health metrics staff will not be able to assist with unloading.

Trash Transfer Station Residential Yard Waste Drop-Off

Additional yard waste drop-off will be this week, Nov. 2 through Nov. 7 at the Trash Transfer Station. The hours of operation will be Monday through Friday 7 a.m.-3 p.m. and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday.

During this week the Transfer Station will accept your first 500 pounds of residential yard waste for free if brought in loose, compostable bags (no plastic bags), or other reusable containers. After 500 pounds you will be charged at $83/ton or $.04 lb. This does not apply to businesses
