JACKSON, Wyo. — The Dollar Lake Fire has reached the size of 11,510 acres since it was discovered on Thursday near Green River Lakes on the Pinedale Ranger District of Bridger-Teton National Forest (BTNF).

A community meeting about the fire will be held in Pinedale on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Sublette County Public Library, located at 155 S. Tyler Ave.

The fire was active overnight from Sunday to Monday, according to a fire update by BTNF. The blaze possesses two “heads,” or areas of fire growth, BTNF noted. One head extended south and the other grew to the east-southeast, with additional interior burning. The fire is 0% contained.

“Despite the fire growth, there have been no injuries reported nor structures lost,” BTNF posted to Facebook on Monday afternoon. Firefighters are defending two structure groups near the growing fire, including outfitter camps, feed lots, Red Cliff Bible Camp and Billy Wells Camp. Aerial firefighting operations continue as crews work toward containment.

BTNF anticipates an increase in monsoonal moisture over the next few days, which could involve rain showers and thunderstorms along with gusty winds.

“The trend is for cooler daytime temperatures and higher relative humidities through Wednesday,” the update reads. “Current models indicate a 50% chance of over one inch of total rainfall over the 72-hour period of Monday through Thursday with an 80% chance of seeing over 0.5 inches of rainfall during that time.”

Evacuations have been ordered in the Dollar Lake area, which are being shared via the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page. As of 3 p.m. on Monday, anyone in a five-mile radius around Dollar Lake had already been ordered to evacuate, including Red Cliff Bible Camp in Cora. Using the “Ready, Set, Go” scale, residences in the Kendall Valley area including the following roads have been elevated to the “Set” phase: Moose Gypsum Road, Hill Road, Valley View Trail, Hecox Road, Pine Drive, Rock Creek Road, Brookie Lane, White Point Road, Rainbow Drive, Trout Drive, Cutthroat Drive, River Road, Cattle Drive Lane, Terrace Drive, Half-way Drive, all residences off Galley Lane, and all residences along US352 South to Richard Lane.
