JACKSON, WY – The legendary country music group Diamond Rio will bring its GRAMMY-award winning sounds to The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar on October 24 as part of the iconic honkytonk’s headlining concert series.
Since first bursting onto the scene in 1991 with their debut smash, “Meet in the Middle,” Diamond Rio has charted three dozen songs including five #1 hits and countless other sing-along favorites like “One More Day” and “Unbelievable.” The self-contained band has collected thirteen GRAMMY nominations, winning in 2011.
They’ve received 36 nominations from the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music, spanning their entire career. Six times they were named “Top Vocal Group” and once, they took home “Album of the Year.” In April of 2018, the Nashville-based group celebrated its 20th anniversary as members of the venerable Grand Ole Opry.
Setting aside all of their awards, perhaps what is most notable of the group is their longevity. Since 1989, all six of the original members have toured and recorded as Diamond Rio, giving the group great strength in continuity and story. That’s what they will bring, along with their timeless hits and distinctive harmonies, when they visit the region’s favorite honkytonk
