Water by the Spoonful

Off Square Theatre’s two-week presentation of the 2012 Pulitzer-winning play Water by the Spoonful starts today! The play has been called “a heartfelt meditation on lives on the brink of redemption,” with a fabulous local cast. The play will also show May 4, 5 and 6. Get tickets online.

New Dancers/New Choreographers: Verve

The Junior Repertory Company with Dancers’ Workshop presents original dance pieces. The young choreographers produce the entire production – from casting, costuming, music editing and lighting to the finished choreography of original pieces and the full scope of marketing to the final performances in which they themselves direct. Get tickets for an evening or an afternoon show.

Exhibit Opening: Art in Translation

HOME. LANGUAGE. IDENTITY. These core elements define our sense of self and our feelings of belonging. The Art Association’s exhibition Art in Translation exhibition and related events explore these questions through the collective experiences of Jackson’s Latino community. Lift someone’s spirits when you join People Spread Love at Roam for a drop-in watercolor card making workshop! Learn simple watercolor techniques that can then be applied to a beautiful card for someone in need of a little extra love. Donation of $5 suggested.
