JACKSON, Wyo. — Community Safety Network (CSN) has a new leader.
Shannon Brooks Hamby will take the helm as executive director of the Jackson-based nonprofit that serves people affected by domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking.
“After an extensive and thoughtful search, Brooks Hamby brings the necessary experience, vision and passion to guide and support our critical work,” said CSN Board Chair Brendan McDermott. “We are delighted to welcome her to the CSN team.”
Brooks Hamby brings a decade of local nonprofit leadership experience to CSN. She served as the executive director of the Community Foundation of Teton Valley before joining Climb Wyoming, a statewide nonprofit that supports single mothers discovering self-sufficiency through career training and placement. As the director of advancement and a member of the executive team at Climb she led the development of a robust fundraising strategy, program recruitment strategy, and furthered Climb’s programmatic approach through consulting with regional nonprofits. She has served as a board member for several area nonprofits and as a mentor with Womentum who honored her with the Turley Onward award in recognition of an “exceptional commitment to create social change for women.”
Brooks Hamby will officially step into the Executive Director role on June 1.

Starr Sonne will continue in the role of Interim Executive Director through May.
