WILSON, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has announced that work in the Snake River channel beginning Monday, May 12, might impact river users near the Snake River Bridge project.
Crews from WYDOT and Ames Construction will be working on the underside of the bridge this week to “bolt cross braces” on the new bridge, per the announcement. A snooper truck will be used for this part of the project.
Drivers are not expected to see any traffic delays, but river users are encouraged to stay alert and exercise caution surrounding the work area.
“River users are advised not to float underneath the work area and a flagger will be present at the Wilson boat ramp to alert river users of any potential hazards,” WYDOT announced.
WYDOT added that crews will also be working at the intersection of WY22/WY390 this week, with concrete pours scheduled for Wednesday, May 14, and Friday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each of those days. Drivers turning onto northbound WY390 from WY22 will be directed to make the right turn at the intersection signal while the pavement operations are underway.
