JACKSON, Wyo. — Sports chairs are now available at the Teton County Community Recreation Center, according to Teton Adaptive.

The chairs are free to use and need to be checked out. They can be used for a host of sports offered at the Rec Center, including tennis, pickeball, basketball and more, according to Teton Adaptive’s Instagram.

Sports chairs are designed to be more maneuverable than daily wheelchairs, with the rear wheels angled for more stability and the front wheels smaller than those of a standard chair.

“We are so excited to announce that the Teton County Recreation Center now has court chairs available!,” Teton Adaptive said in its post. “Thank you to the Craig H. Nielsen Foundation for the generous grant that helped make this dream a reality!”

The Rec Center is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
