JACKSON, Wyo. — The Teton County Clerk of District Court Anne C. Sutton invites travelers to the Teton County Library for a bonus day of passport appointments on Saturday, Aug. 26.
Appointments for passport applications or renewals are generally only available on weekdays, so this Saturday event is intended to accommodate those with busy schedules.
Teton County Clerk of District Court Anne C. Sutton wishes to remind international travelers that passport processing takes longer than it once did. Community members needing new or updated passports for Thanksgiving or December holiday travel should be submitting their applications as soon as possible, she said via press release.
The U.S. Department of State estimates processing times at 10 to 13 weeks for standard passport applications and seven to nine weeks for expedited applications, which cost an additional $60. On top of that, applicants must factor in up to two weeks each way for shipping.
The event will unfold on Saturday, Aug. 26, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Teton County Library. Appointments will need to be arranged ahead of time. To schedule an appointment, call the Clerk of District Court’s Office at 307-733-2533, ext. 2.
Weekday appointments can be made by visiting tetoncountywy.gov/codc. To
minimize appointment time and prevent return trips, applicants should review all application requirements and carefully complete the application form in advance of their appointment. Applications and requirements are available on travel.state.gov.
