JACKSON, Wyo. — Work will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at the Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling Center (ISWR) for the construction of a new truck scale.
ISWR will remain open during normal operating hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, but customers should expect temporary impacts to normal operations during construction. Construction is expected to continue through September and October.
Residents who need standard household or business recycling are encouraged to use the community recycling sites throughout town. There are recycling bins in the Albertsons parking lot, the Teton County Fairgrounds, and the Jackson/Teton County Recreation Center parking lot.
The Recycling Center will remain open for those needing specialty recycling services, including e-waste, book recycling, shredding, residential food waste services and other specialty material collection.
Community members are asked to visit the Recycling Center after hours or over the weekend when possible in order to avoid construction-related activities.
