From the studios to the stage starting this weekend, the students of Dancers’ Workshop share their creative sides with their peers, family and fellow community members. This Friday and Saturday, April 26 & 27, the Junior Repertory Company of DW showcases their innovative spring production months in the making, New Dances/New Choreographers C8NNECT. The pre-professional youth company members choreograph, perform and produce the entire production from scratch – from casting, costuming and choreography to lighting, music editing and marketing. The talented group of high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors choreograph each work, and every company member, age 11 and up, share in the creative process and educational experience.
Another upcoming student program includes DW’s 2019 end of year production for the School at Dancers’ Workshop, Progress Performance STORY. On Saturday, May 11, dancers aged 5 and older take center stage. If you or your friend have ever wondered if you should sign your kiddo up for dance class, this is a great opportunity to see the joy that dance brings and the sense of accomplishment these young dancers feel as they share all they’ve learned over the course of the year.
Finally, remember our Summer Camps & Classes. From “Make Your Own Dance” to “Musical Chairs” and “Boys Club”, there is something for everyone! Registration is open. We want every kid to have the chance to dance, so spread the word that we offer financial aid as well. Please inquire by emailing info@dwjh.org or calling 307-733-6398.
