The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole welcomes Stacey Morse (middle) as their new Board Chair and Chris Hartley (L) and Laurie Huff (R) as new board members.

JACKSON, Wyo. — The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole is pleased to welcome a new Board Chair and two new board members, who will help support the Foundation’s mission, “to improve lives through philanthropic leadership.”

Stacey Morse will officially step into the role of Chair at the first of the year, when current Chair, Bill Hoglund, completes his two-year leadership term. “I’m delighted that Stacey Morse will lead the next chapter of our work,” stated Laurie Andrews, Community Foundation President. “Since joining the Board, Stacey has demonstrated exceptional commitment as an active member of the Executive Committee and Competitive Grants Committee.”

In addition to a new Chair, the Foundation’s board will welcome two new directors: Christine Hartley and Laurie Huff.

Christine Hartley

Christine Hartley (Chris) and her husband, Ross, moved to full time living in Jackson in 1999 anticipating a retirement filled with skiing, unparalleled outdoor recreation opportunities, and the beauty of nature. With undergraduate and graduate degrees (BSN and MSN) from the University of Kansas, her career focused on Critical Care as a clinical nurse practitioner and a critical care nurse educator with a national certification for advanced practice in Cardiac Care (CCRN).
Community engagement has always been a priority, serving as a founding board member of two successful nonprofits in Kansas and Missouri that provide free healthcare services and support for stressed families and child protection. She was appointed to the Kansas Ethics Commission for a 2-year term under Governor Bill Graves, while also serving 8 years as a school board member, including 4 years as president.

Supporting education and the arts at all levels is a priority. Chris and Ross established the first endowed professorship for the KU School of Nursing, whose recipients are Nurse Scientists. Additionally, other major philanthropy has been directed to the University of Kansas School of Law and Baker University.

Chris is a past board member of the Grand Teton National Park Foundation and the Grand Teton Music Festival and currently serves as an advisory board member of the Stone Research Foundation, dedicated to pioneering regenerative orthopedic treatments.

Chris and Ross have been Old Bill’s Co-Challengers since 2011.

They are parents to three children and two grandchildren, all avid skiers. They maintain their historic home on Route 66 in southeast Kansas and enjoy a home on Maui during the shoulder months of the ski season.

Laurie Huff

Born and raised in Jackson Hole to long-time Jackson residents, Laurie Huff is the definition of native. She began living the mountain lifestyle immediately; skiing at age 2, her passion and talent for outdoor sports were evident right away. By 7 she was competitively alpine ski racing and joined the ranks of the top juniors in the nation over the course of her career. Skiing led her to the University of Colorado, where Laurie majored in Political Science and graduated summa cum laude.
Raised by one of the top-producing real estate brokers in Jackson, Laurie chose to follow in her mother’s real estate footsteps without a second of hesitation. Now with years of her own experience, a true passion for the Jackson Hole lifestyle, and unparalleled knowledge of the valley, Laurie feels like she brings a unique set of qualities to the Jackson real estate community.

Laurie’s ultimate love is her family. Her husband, young daughter, and golden retriever are her main focus, but another passion is giving back to this community that raised her. Some of her other favorite activities include rock climbing, mountain biking, and trail running, but generally just being outside and in the mountains are enough to put a smile on her face.
